Easy Flashcards

Recently i started designing flashcards and got an easy idea. Cut the cardboard of the desired size and put stickers. These stickers are easily available in markets and durable. They are mess free than the cut and paste books. They are attracting because of their colors.

Flashcards designs depends on various categories. They could be alphabets, numbers, vegetables and animals etc.

Sakshum updates...

In our 'Adopt A School' project (http://www.sakshum.com/ui/page/AdoptASchool.jsp) Electricity connection is approved and meter has come to school. In a week lineman will come and fix the meter.
Toilet construction is also started last week and is in the final phase of completion.
After toilet construction wash area work will start in school.
We are planning to have a sports day on the occasion of independence day in school. We will another email with more details on this.
The environment day celebration planning are almost done and we will notify on volunteering to it soon.
We are in a process of setting up a library for the children. This will benefit the school children a lot.
We are working on teachers training to enhance their skills to teach the children in school.
We have got the estimates on number of notebooks required to distribute among children. We will inform on the date we will be doing it.

Eye screening event 19th Sep

Sakshum is organizing an Eye Screening event on 19th sept at siddique nagar school kondapur.

We will be screening 300 children of this school for the vision problems and will take the affected children to LV Prasad Eye Hospital.

Eye Care I Care next event 11th Apr, hyd

So, here are the finalized plans for next event of project 'Eye Care I Care'

We will be screening 150 children who are either hearing impaired or from slum area. These children are the part of Ashray Akruti which is

a NGO dedicatedly working for hearing impaired children welfare.

We have talked and agreed an expert from LV Prasad Eye Institute to assist us in the screening process. Dr. Neeti from Sakshum will

as usual lead the orientation part of the Event.

Time is: 9:30 AM to 12 noon

Sakshum screen 232 children for Vision problems

Sakshum did a successful event of eye screening in a school, St Issac School in Hafeezpet, near madhapur.

during the screening we screened 232 students and identified 18 students with vision problem and refered them to LVPEI for further evaluation.
